The information day devoted to the fourth call for proposals of the ICT Policy Support Programme as a part of the Competitiveness and Innovation Framework Programme, 2007 - 2013 (CIP-ICT-PSP) took place on February 16, 2010 in the big hall of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. The event was organized by the Ministry of Transport, Information Technologies and Communications. Ensuring the best use and uptake of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) by EU citizens, businesses and administrations is one the key objectives of the i2010 strategic framework. The ICT Policy Support Programme (ICT PSP) under the Competitiveness and Innovation Programme (CIP) aims at stimulating innovation and competitiveness through the wider uptake and best use of ICT by citizens, governments and businesses, particularly Small and Medium-sized Enterprises. The approach is based on leveraging innovation in response to growing societal demands.
The budget of the ICT PSP Work programme 2010 is estimated at 116,050 M€. It will be used for the grants awarded following the call for proposals, other grants foreseen in thisWork Programme and the calls for tender. The indicative budget of the fourth call for proposals is 107 MEUR.
The budget is dedicated for:
- ICT for a low carbon economy and smart mobility - 19 MEUR;
- Digital Libraries - 30 MEUR;
- ICT for health and inclusion - 14 MEUR;
- Open innovation for future Internet-enabled services in smart cities - 15 MEUR;
- ICT for improved public services for citizens and businesses - 13 MEUR;
- Multilingual Web - 16 MEUR;
- Calls for tender and support measure implemented by grants - 9,050 MEUR.
