The Minister of Transport Peter Mutafchiev is leaving today for Federal Republic of Germany on a work visit for three days. He will have meetings with the Federal Minister of Transport, Building and Housing Wolfgang Tiefensee, with the minister of Building and Transport of Nord Rein Westphalia Oliver Witke, as well with representatives of Deutsche Bahn and Siemens. The meeting between minister Mutafchiev and minister Tiefensee will take place on February 22, after that Minister Mutafchiev will visit the new railway station in Berlin. On Thursday, February 23, the program foresees another important infrastructure object to be visited – The port of Duisburg, which is the biggest inland port in Germany. For February24, Friday, the Minister of Transport Peter Mutafchiev has an Invitation from the Minister of Building and Transport Oliver Witke for a work breakfast in the Ministry of Building and Transport of Nord Rein Westphalia. In the last day of his visit, minister Mutafchiev will see the Siemens works in Krefeld – Ürdigen, where he will talk with Jorn Sens, member of the of Siemens Transportations Systems manager’s board. With the attendance of Minister Peter Mutafchiev the 500th diesel train will be put in operation. Later, on the railway station Ürdigen Minister Mutafchiev will watch a demonstration of the most modern Siemens Locomotive.
