The Turkish Side Will Give the Whole Quota of Licenses 15.05.2006
Large size

Minister Peter Mutafchiev carried on a telephone conversation with his Turkish colleague Binali Yildirim, who took a commitment to give the whole quota of back-freights licenses this week, for the needs of the Bulgarian international automobile carriers. The problem was laid sharply from the Bulgarian carriers during the last week, as the given amount of licenses was running out.

The position of the Bulgarian side is that the permission regime for transportation of back-freights must be liberalized or the number of the licenses for this kind of transportations should be increased.

To remind you that in January 2006, in Ankara, for the first time in the last 10 years, an agreement was reached to increase those kinds of licenses from 6000 to 14000 numbers. The Turkish side accepted the increase on condition that the granting of the contingent must follow, divided into two equal parts – at the beginning and in middle of the year.

Dear Colleagues,

You will be informed immediately, when the licenses are available.
