The Minister of Transport Peter Mutafchiev met the Minister of Transport, Building and Tourism of Rumania Radu Berchanu in Ruse.

During the bilateral meeting an Agreement Between the Government of Republic of Bulgaria and the Government of Rumania, Regarding the Activity at the Railway Border Transitions was signed. The agreement foresees a reduction of the time for documents processing and border passage on the two railway stations. The two ministers came also to an agreement a new common regular bus route, free of Danube Bridge transition charges, to be put into operation between Ruse and Gjurgevo. Both sides came also to an agreement to start a regular railway line Ruse - Bucharest, serviced by the new Siemens diesel-trains. These possibilities will be discussed by a workgroup, formed by the Bulgarian and Rumanian railway administrations.
