The Minister of Transport Peter Mutafchiev and the Director-Executive of Dragger-Fleet - Istar" AD signed today the contract for giving of Port Terminal Svistov under concession. The event took place in the Ministry of Transport. Port Terminal Svistov is part of port for public transportation with national importance Ruse. It is specialized for processing of general and loose freights, as well as for passenger's servicing. The terminal has 8 wharf slots - seven for load/unload activities and one for passengers. After the signing of the contract Minister Mutafchiev said that the signing of the concession is another proof that the Ministry of Transport sticks rigidly to the implementation of its priorities, regarding the increase of the investments in the infrastructure. This will create a possibility for growth of the freight- and passengers turnover of the port. Rumen Yordanov declared that the signing of the concession is a success both for Dragger - Fleet - Istar" AD and for Municipality Svistov. He also said that the association has always been freighter number one of port Ruse. The Executive-Director entered into engagement, new logistic schemes to be searched, in order to increase the freight turnover. The association begins an active cooperation with the Rumanian port Zimnic. The team of the concessionaire has the idea to transform port Svistov in a modern European port on the river Danube, said Rumen Yordanov.
