The Ministry of Transport will draw attention to the road safety week April 23-29, 2007 and will popularize the European Charter for road safety.

The First UNO Global Road Safety Week:

The global week is devoted to the young traffic participants, including the young car driver, whose percent, in the whole amount of the road accident casualties is bigger. Campaigns on road safety will take place at the same time in the global week. The goal is to influence the behavior of the traffic participants, so that a diminution of the quantity and the heaviness of the road accidents to be achieved and in this way to save human life.

European Road Safety Charter:

The goal of the European Road Safety Charter is to initiate a commitment from side of the civil society to the improvement of the European road safety. Thus, the Ministry of Transport calls all structures of the state and all civil society groups to join to the Charter and undertake with concrete activities to the improvement of the road safety, according to their possibilities and competencies.
