Discussion forum on Sectoral Operational Program “Transport 2007-2013 – Possibilities and Challenges” will take place on Monday July 2, 2007, at 9.30 am in Sheraton Hotel. The forum will be opened by the Minister of Transport Peter Mutafchiev. Invited to participate in the Discussion are representatives of the beneficiaries of the operational program, the social partners and branch organizations, as well as the academic circles.

The Sectoral Operational Program “Transport 2007-2013” is one of the seven operational programs, which Bulgaria has developed in order to adopt financial means from the EU funds. The program will finance infrastructure projects in the following sectors – railway and road transport, sea transport and domestic waterways.

The budget of the program for this program period is 2 003 billions Euro. The financing of the projects will be carried out through the Cohesion Fund and the European Fund for Regional Development.
