The Ministry of Transport Started a Site for Road Safety 12.09.2007

The Ministry of Transport started today the internet site http://www.bezopasnost.bg/. It is part of the Ministry initiative for road safety "Save Life", which was presented by the Minister of Transport to representatives of the European Commission.

The site contains a helpful information like a variety of advises and measures for improvement of the road safety. Included is also a map with the dangerous road sectors in Bulgaria, as well as information about the European Road Safety Charter. Foreseen is also a possibility for communication between the users and many experts from the field of the road safety. Films connected with the subject will be presented on the new site. Such a video film, made especially for the campaign was shown during the event. Video materials and photos from road accidents will be also exposed on the site, taken by citizens, witness or victims of such catastrophes.

After the presentation of the initiative representatives of institutions, society groups, commercial companies and organizations joined the European Road Safety Charter.
