The Minister of Transport Peter Mutafchiev dismissed the Director-Executive of BDZ Oleg Petkov and appointed Hristo Monov Director-Executive of BDZ in coordination with the Director Council of the Company. The official change will be made on Friday, April 14th, 2008 during the sitting of the Director Council of the company.

The new Director-Executive of BDZ Hristo Monov was born in 1957 in Mezdra. He graduated from the Technical University of Sofia - Engineer with master degree - specialty "Exploitation of the Railway Transport.  Hristo Monov begins his career in the year 1984 as dispatcher at the railway station Poduene in Sofia. His career for the Bulgarian railways is 25 years. Till now he has worked as a Director of "Exploitation and Technical Support" in "BDZ - Freights Transportation". Hristo Monov is married and has two children.
