The Rescue Ship “Perun” Arrived in Varna 21.03.2008

The rescue ship "Perun" finished its transition from Dubai and arrived in Port Varna. This happened today in 7.30 am. Captain of the ship is Marin Stoianov with twelve men crew.

Later on the same day a press conference took place in Directorate "Maritime Administration" Varna with the participation of the Director-Executive of EA "Maritime Administration" Captain Nicolai Apostolov, and the Director of the informational services on  searching and rescuing communication - Zlatko Kuzmanov, as well as the representative of EA "Maritime Administration" on Board of "Perun"  captain Valentin Tassev.   

During the press conference Nikolai Apostolov declared, that Maritime Administration will demand juridical the restoration of the financial means for the salaries, fuel and insurances, as well as for the non-paid freights from the charter agency "Internet Agency". The public prosecution has been informed in October 2007 about irregularities in the contract relations for the bareboat charter of "Perun".

The discussion of the variants for the "destiny" of the rescue ship "Perun is forthcoming.
