The Minister of Transport Peter Mutafchiev expanded the authorities of the Director-Executive of Executive Agency "Railway Administration", as he authorized him to issue penal decrees in case of administrative infringements of the railway transport law.

In order to accomplish the task Executive Agency "Railway Administration" has prepared and is now implementing internal regulation -"Procedure for determination of administrative infringements and their appeal". The document introduces the rules for the accomplishment of the requirements of the "Administrative Infringements and Penal Legislation".

In this way the effectiveness of the control activities of the agency will be increased and the accomplishment of the duties of all levels of the railway carriers and the National Company "Railway Infrastructure" will be strictly controlled.
