The 15th Regular Session of SPKH “Transport” on the PHARE Program Took Place in the Ministry of Transport 14.05.2008

The 15th regular session of the Sectoral Subcommittee in sector "Transport" on the PHARE Program took place today in the Ministry of Transport.

The progress of the 22 projects included in the sector was discussed on the meeting. Part of them are the investment projects for building, rehabilitation and reconstruction of the basic transport infrastructure. Also discussed was the status of projects connected with the institutional building and the strengthen of the administrative capacity of the beneficiaries.

Executive agencies of the sector are: The Central Unit for Financing and Contracting in the Ministry of Finance and the Executive Agency "PHARE Program" in MRRB.

The statuses of the sector for the inspection period, as well as the relevant correction activities for improvement of the project accomplishment were also discussed.

Representatives of executive agencies, the national head and the national coordinator of the EU aid, as well as representatives of the beneficiaries on the project - EA "Maritime Administration", EA "Railway administration" , EA "Automobile Administration", GD "Civil Aviation Administration" and the fund "Republican Road Infrastructure" participated in the event. They reported about the advance of the projects for the period October 2007 - Mart 2008.
