A two-day seminar on the theme "Railway Safety and Operational Compatibility" was opened in sofia today. The forum is promoted and financed by the TAIEX (Instrument for Information Exchange and Technical Aid) of the European Commission as a result of a project of Executive Agency "Railway Administration". The goal of the discussion is to give to the Bulgarian railway transport experts more clear picture of the tendencies in the railway safety and operational compatibility in the European Union. The seminar will give an answer to legislative and technical issues and also will help to make the Bulgarian experts familiar with the good practices in the field of the safety in the EU. Main lecturer of the seminar is Jean Charles Pichant - Head of the Unit for Operational Compatibility of the European Railway Agency. Tomorrow, May 23, 2008 the lecturers of the seminar will make a work visit in National Company "Railway Infrastructure". For Additional Information:
