Albanian Specialist from the Ports Duras and Vlora Will Be Trained in Bulgaria 04.07.2008

The first stage of the program for training of Albanian Specialists in the field of maritime transportation and port activities will start at the end of September. The agreement was reached during the third session of the Bulgarian - Albanian commission on transport, which took place from July 1st - 4th, 2008. The training includes transfer of technologies, as well as exchange of exploitation and management experience. An agreement for immediate information supply for the Albanian ports Duras and Vlora, presented on the websites of the ports Burgas and Varna was also achieved.

In the field of the railway transport the Bulgarian representatives presented the reorganization of the Bulgarian railways to their colleagues, as the Albanian side has undertaken similar steps in regard of its railway.

Within the mainframe of the bilateral meeting, by request of the Albanian side, the Bulgarian representatives committed to help their colleagues with the harmonization of their transport legislation.

In the field of air transport the representatives of both states came to an agreement that Albania should prepare a Memorandum for Mutual Understanding, which to be signed on the next session of the workgroup, as well as to deepen the cooperation between the both appointed air carriers.
