Three Offers Were Submitted for the Building of the Railway Sector “Svilengrad – Turkish Boundary” 24.02.2009

The offers for participation in the tender procedure for projecting and accomplishing of the railway sector "Svilengrad - Turkish Boundary" were opened today, February 24, 2009, in 10am in the Building of the National Company "Railway Infrastructure". The submitted offers are three, namely:
  1. C.M.C. (Italy) - Trace (Bulgaria) - CK 13 (Bulgaria);
  2. OHL ZS AS (Czech Republic);
  3. Terna AE (Greece).    

The commission which will evaluate and rank the candidates in an open procedure has been approved according to article 68-72 of the Public Procurement Low. The time for accomplishment of the commission activity is up to May 22, 2009.

The railway sector Svilengrad - Turkish Boundary is one of the priority projects, foreseen for financing through the OP "Transport" 2007-2013, with indicative budget of 35 millions US Dollars. The amount of the free financial support from the Cohesion fund is 28 millions of US Dollar.  

With the accomplishment of the project "Reconstruction and Electrification of the Railway Sector "Svilengrad - Turkish Boundary" a new railway section of 19 kilometers will be built and electrified for speed 160 km/h.
