Inspectors from the Executive agency "Automobile Administration" and their colleagues from the control authorities of the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure of Rumania (Autoritatea Rutiera Romana) will accomplish several checks on the territory of the two countries. This type of control activity is being implemented on the basis of agreement between the supervisory authorities of the two countries, under the auspices of Euro Controle Route. Such inspections are foreseen to be accomplished three times monthly through exchange of inspector teams on the territory of the two countries. The goal is to check the observation of the European regulation in the field of the automobile transport - the licensing and the certification regime, the requirements for the time for driving and rest period, as well as the technical condition of the vehicles. With this inspector teams exchange Bulgaria and Rumania are applying the requirements of the European regulation for accomplishment of trans-border checks on the territory of the European Union. They are also realizing the resolutions of the Executive Committee of Euro Controle Route, connected with the standardization of the control practices, from side of the European Control Authorities. On August 13th 2009 a joint inspection on Bulgarian territory will be accomplished in the region of Ruse. The main subject of this check will be the control on the observation of the requirements for the driving time and the rest period of the drivers. The inspection is open for the mass-media.
