Minister Tsvetkov introduced the first joint post stamp with Italy 16.10.2009

The Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communication Aleksandar Tsvetkov introduced the first Bulgarian-Italian philatelic issue at a ceremony attended by the Prime Minister of Italy Silvio Berlusconi, the Prime Minister of Bulgaria Boiko Borissov, Ministers, business and media representatives.

At a ceremony in the residency of the Italian Ambassador in Bulgaria, both Prime Ministers and Minister Tsvetkov mentioned that the joint philatelic issue is a representation of the excellent relationship between the two countries.

The slogan of the post stamp is: "130 Years of Establishing the Diplomatic Relationship between Bulgaria and Italy." Both issues are created by the Bulgarian artist Ivelina Velinova. The stamp's circulation is 45 000 copies and its value is 1 lev. The circulation of the illustrated envelope is 1 155 copies.
