MTITC Hosts a Seminar on the Subject of a New Directive and the Maritime Labor Convention 03.11.2009

The Executive Agency "Maritime Administration" hosts a seminar from 3 to 5 November on the subject: "Council Directive 2009/13/EC implementing the Agreement concluded by the European Community Shipowners' Associations (ECSA) and the European Transport Workers' Federation (ETF) on the Maritime Labour Convention, 2006, and amending Directive 1999/63/EC." The event is taking place at the MTITC building. The event is on the occasion of an approved project of EAMA on the same subject by the Technical Assistance Information Exchange Unit of the EU Commission (TAIEX).

During the seminar, there will be a discussion on several topics linked to the Council Directive 2009/13/EC in Bulgaria and the harmonization of the Bulgarian legislation in implementing the Directive.

The seminar will be led by an expert from TAIEX. There will be representatives from the Bulgarian maritime community and interested institutions.
