Bulgarian Software Firms Can Participate in Grants totaling € 35 Million after MTITC’s Interference 03.12.2009
Large size
Тhe Ministry of Transport, Information Technology and Communications defended in front of the Managing Authority the opportunity for Bulgarian software firms to participate in projects part of the Operational Programme "Development of the Competitiveness of the Bulgarian Economy."

For two of the Priorities set in the Operational Programme, there is a requirement to present a patent, certifying the ownership over the innovative products and services.

With an order from Minister Aleksandar Tsvetkov, there was a Commission created within MTITC to examine the applications of Bulgarian firms claiming ownership over software developments. Among the members of the Commission, there are members of the trade associations. The experts are working on preparing the criteria that need to be fulfilled for certificates and positions of ownerships over software developments to be issued. Prior to each assessment, the Commission will declare the lack of conflict of interests.
