The Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications broke the ground for the construction of a “Rolling Highway” terminal or “Ro-La” terminal at Dragoman railway station.

The project, which will cost 6 million leva, is financed by National Company “Railway Infrastructure” and will be carried out by the state company “Transport Construction”. The deadline for the construction of the terminal is 90 days. It is expected the rolling stock, which will be provided by the Bulgarian State Railways, to take up daily the transportation of 700 heavy-freight automobiles.

The construction of the “Ro-La” terminal is part of the Ministry’s strategy for acceleration of the infrastructure projects, which will increase the competitive power of the railway transport in Bulgaria.
