Deputy Minister Kamen Kichev Initialed an Agreement on Road Transport between Bulgaria and Turkey 22.10.2010

On 18 and 19 October under the co-chairmanship of the Deputy Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Kamen Kichev was held the 23rd Session of Bulgarian-Turkish Commission on Transport in Istanbul.

During the forum was initialed the Agreement between Bulgaria and Turkey for international transport of passengers and goods by road. The signed document will replace the existing agreement between the two countries, which was signed in 1977.

The new document deals with modern terminology and requirements of carriers, consistent with the current situation, which will create better conditions for carrying out international transport between the two countries.

During the visit were discussed the difficulties faced by carriers on both sides, in the course of international carriage and it a procedure was agreed, which will expedite the resolution of the problems.


A topic of the talks were also the issues in the field of combined transport and putting into operation of new ferry lines between the ports of Varna and Zonguldak / Samsun.
