Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications of the Republic of Bulgaria Alexandar Tsvetkov had a meeting today in the city of Beijing with the Minister of Transport of the Republic of China Li Shanlin.

During the meeting Minister Tsvetkov said that in Asia, China is a partner of paramount importance for our country. Opportunities for investment in Bulgaria were presented and it was highlighted the financial and economic stability and business-friendly tax policy. We want to provide the best possible conditions for the Chinese business, said Alexandar Tsvetkov.

Opportunities for cooperation in the field of port infrastructure through the mechanisms of the concession or joint venture were discussed. Bulgaria is able to provide the best possible conditions for port operators. We believe that the Bulgarian ports may be attractive enough to offer an alternative route to Central and East Asia, added the Bulgarian Minister.

Later that day Minister Alexandar Tsvetkov had a meeting with the leadership of "China National Machinery Industry Complete Engineering Corporation", a leading company in the field of infrastructure, where were discussed investment opportunities in our country.
