Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Alexandar Tsvetkov presented today the first vending machines at Sofia Airport for hot and cold drinks and packaged food.

The machines are located at 40 separate locations in public and border areas at both terminals at Sofia Airport. The public tender for the leasing of sites for the machines was won by "Verdico” Ltd. - a leading distributor of products and office coffee services.

During the presentation Minister Tsvetkov said that the purpose of the installment of these machines is that the passengers at Sofia airport will have the opportunity to buy cheaper coffee, soft drinks and snacks. Thus the necessary competition will be created that will lead to lower prices in the restaurants on the territory of Sofia airport, which will benefit the consumers.

During today's event at Sofia airport Minister Alexandar Tsvetkov made an inspection of the security measures at the airport. During the inspection the Minister said that the systems are on a very high level, which does not require introduction of additional security measures.
