MTITC presented to telecom companies and organizations the changes to the Law on Electronic Communications 12.11.2010

Ministry of Transport, Information Technology and Communications / MTITC / briefed today the representatives of the telecommunications sector with the prepared amendments to the electronic messages. The amendments will introduce in the Bulgarian legislation the recent changes in European Directives.

The draft of the Law on Electronic Communications has not yet been finalized by MTITC experts but in the tradition of transparency policy, dialogue with industry representatives is sought. Among the specific issues that were discussed are the conditions for issuing permits for the use of limited resources / frequencies and numbers / and refinement of procedures for carrying out market analysis by the Commission for Communications Regulation.

Organisations and companies in the sector will be able to make proposals to the draft Act amending the Electronic Communications Act during the procedure for its public hearing.
