Ministry of Transport, Information Technology and Communications

Regular mission of representatives of DG Information Society and Media will be held from 17 to 19 November in Sofia. The aim of the experts is to obtain information on the development of the electronic communications sector in the country before preparing the 16th regular progress report on the development of electronic communications market in the European Union.

Forthcoming are meetings with representatives of telecommunications operators, industry associations and the Ministry of Transport, Information Technology and Communications, the Commission for Communications Regulation and the Council for electronic media.

Major emphasis in the discussions will be the development of electronic communications networks, broadband, policy and management of scarce resources - spectrum and numbers, personal data protection, rights and interests of consumers, effectiveness and implementation of legislative and regulatory measures.
