The social kitchens for retired employees from the system of the Ministry of Transport, Information Technology and Communications opened doors. The initiative is under the patronage of the Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications, Aleksandar Tsvetkov and is organized for the first time.
The social kitchen in Sofia was opened by the Director-General of the Bulgarian Air Traffic Services Authority (BULATSA) Diyan Dinev. During the event he said that he hopes the project to acquire a traditional character in the future and in it to be also included other enterprises from the system of the MTITC. The opening was attended by the mayor of Triaditza region – Sofia Municipality Evtim Evtimov who gave a support for the realization of the initiative in Sofia.
The project is financed by the Bulgarian Air Traffic Services Authority (BULATSA) and will be realized at first in the cities of Sofia, Varna, Burgas, Plovdiv and Yambol with the assistance of the respective Municipal Social Services.
The kitchens will work in the workdays during the winter season. The kitchens will provide lunch meals, including – soup, dish, dessert, bread and mineral water/soft drink. At the moment in the kitchens will feed 240 people and the registration continues, with the exception of the kitchen in Yambol, where the capacity is exhausted.
As an element of its social policy BULATSA every year helps financially a number of important projects for disadvantaged people. The policy of the enterprise focuses on the help of specialized institutions for delivery of social services, orphanages, disabled, children without parents etc. |
