MTITC introduces a time restriction for use of ECMT/CEMT permits from Turkish carriers 01.02.2011

The Ministry of Transport, Information Technology and Communications of the Republic of Bulgaria reached a decision to introduce a reciprocal measures in reference to lorries with Turkish registration that perform transport to, from and transit through the territory of Bulgaria with multiple ECMT/CEMT permits.

The time restriction* for use of ECMT/CEMT permits from automobiles with Turkish registration enters into force on February, 1, 2011. According to the AETR Agreement the non-observance of the shown periods will be considered as a violation of the driving time, an interruption and breaks. In case of non-observance of the periods, the lorries with Turkish registration will not be allowed to the territory of Bulgaria by the end of the shown periods.

*A time restriction is the minimum period of time in which the same carry with the same ECMT/CEMT permit may accomplish a transport of loads to defined Member State of ECMT.
