The Executive Agency “Automobile Administration” levied 625 000 levs fines of foreign carriers in the last two months.

The total number of checked vehicles with foreign registration in this period is about 11 000. The inspectors controlled for the observing of the driving time and the breaks. Most of the violations were accomplished by drivers with Turkish registration – about 280, about 70 from Romanian drivers, 16 from Hungarian drivers and 8 from Greece drivers. The inspectors drew up approximately 550 acts and penal decrees and about 130 forced administrative measures.

For the same period the inspectors of “Automobile Administration” checked 11 000 vehicles and drew up 900 acts. It follows an issue of penal decrees and their forwarding in the National Revenue Agency for levy by force of the fines.

The most common violations are: lack of a labour agreement of the driver, lack of documents that certify the property of the cargo or lack of documents that certify that the passengers are employees of the company.

These verifications are part of the measures against the informal sector in the automobile transport, ordered by the Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Alexandar Tsvetkov.
