Minister Aleksandar Tsvetkov warned the carriers to issue luggage receipts 09.02.2011

The Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Aleksandar Tsvetkov warned through letter the Bulgarian bus carriers not to violate article 37 of the Road Transport Law. According to this article the issue of luggage receipts is obligatory for every luggage in the boot of the vehicles. As well the law does not permit transportation of unattended luggage and consignments against payment because this is considered a transportation against payment.

For such a violation the law foresee sanctions between 1500 and 3000 levs for the carrier and between 100 and 200 levs for the bus driver.

Minister Aleksandar Tsvetkov called the carriers to pay attention to the bus drivers for the strict observing of the normative order as it guarantee the security of the passengers.
