Philatelic collector’s edition marked the 120 anniversary of the Bulgarian opera 11.02.2011

The Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Aleksandar Tsvetkov, the Chairman of the National Assembly Tsetska Tsatcheva and the Director of Sofia Opera and Ballet professor Plamen Kartalov put into use a mail philatelic edition devoted to the 120 anniversary of the Bulgarian opera.

During the ceremony Minister Aleksandar Tsvetkov said that the postal card is in the collector’s circulation of 630 copies. The artist of the project is Nikolai Tsatchev, professor of the National Art Gallery. Postage stamps for Gena Dimitrova, Katia Popova, Boris Hristov, the orchestra Assen Naidenov, the composers Pancho Vladigerov and Filip Kutev have been issued until now in Bulgaria. Series of 6 postage stamps, devoted to the Union of Bulgarian Composers have also been issued.

Minister Tsvetkov gave the Chairman of the National Assembly Tsetska Tsatcheva, the Prime Minister Boyko Borisov and the Director of Sofia Opera Plamen Kartalov copies of the philatelic edition.
