The Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Aleksandar Tsvetkov opened the national off-road championship with a demonstration tour on March, 20 (Sunday) in Tryavna.

Over 100 people put down for participation in the first for the year off-road race “Tryavna 2011”. Approximately 5000 people watched closely the competition.

 Minister Tsvetkov together with representatives of print and electronic media took part in a competition with 4x4 vehicles. Navigator of the journalists was the Bulgarian participant in Dakar 2011 Todor Hristov. After the end of the race Minister Tsvetkov bestowed the best journalists with cups and photo almanac with staffs of Dakar 2011.

The day before the official opening Minister Tsvetkov bestowed the prizes on the winners in “Balkan Rally-Reid Cup 2010” – class “Automobiles”. At the ceremony was also presented the exhibition of the photographer Stoyan Draev “Dakar … realized dream” as well as the unique photo almanac with cadres of the legendary race in which for the first time this year there were Bulgarian participants. During the event Minister Tsvetkov wished all who dream to participate in Dakar to dare and to realize their dreams.
