The first in the last ten years post-philatelic issue, devoted to the April rebellion was put into circulation. The illustrated post card and a special stamp are in a limited edition of 513 copies.

The issue of stamps had celebrated anniversaries of the April rebellion in 1976, 1986 and 2001.

An artist of the projects on the occasion of 135 year of the event is Rossen Toshev.
