The first national working group for presentation of the project “cooperation networks for logistics and nautical education focusing on Inland Waterway Transport in the Danube corridor supported by innovative solutions (NELI)” took place on April, 19 in the city of Ruse. An organizer of the meeting was the Executive Agency "Maritime Administration" - a project partner.
Representatives of secondary and higher education schools with a focus on inland waterway transport, training centers, transportation companies and representatives of state administration took part in the event.
The Forum was opened by Anna Natova - Director of the European Union, international relations and projects Directorate in Maritime Administration and Petar Daskalov - Deputy governor of Ruse. A captain Georgi Ivanov, project manager of NELI for Bulgaria and Director of EA “Maritime Administration – Ruse”, presented the main accents of the project work, that must be completed in March 2012.
Within the framework of the conference was presented the National Action Plan on education and qualification in the area of the inland waterway transport in Bulgaria and the Bulgarian preliminary design of establishment of Information and Educational Centre of inland waterways.
The present experts of the whole country were introduced to the training in the Professional secondary school in inland shipbuilding and navigation – Ruse and the innovations in the education of the students of the University of Ruse “Angel Kanchev”.
The project is implemented under Operational Programme for cross-border cooperation “South East Europe 2007-2013”. Among its aims are the building of network for cooperation between various organizations related to the education and training in inland waterway transport as well as the design and optimization of the e-teaching in the navigation in inland waterway. |
