This year’s campaign on road safety “Drive responsible” has been launched under the aegis of the Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications, Ivaylo Moskovski. Officially the campaign has been opened by the Executive Director of EA “Automobile Administration” Simeon Arnaudov and the Deputy Executive Director of the agency Atanas Todorov.

The participants had an opportunity of check their own reactions in simulation of different risky situation. They tested a special kind of glasses that simulate eyesight between 0.7 and 1.1 promille alcohol. In such a way everyone could get an idea about the effect of the alcohol on the eyesight as well as the estimation for distances. Eco-driving with a specially equipped car was demonstrated. By means of software was analyzed every driver’s action as well as its influence over the ecological driving.

The initiative has been organized by an association “Open Youth” since 2008. 15 Bulgarian cities have been visited within the framework of the initiative. Over 5 000 people took part in the activities.
