The Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications, Ivaylo Moskovski started the new investment program – “Aurubis Bulgaria 2014”. The ceremony took place at the works of Aurubis Group near the city of Pirdop. The ceremony was attended by the Prime Minister Boyko Borisov, the Deputy Prime Minister Simeon Djankov and H.E. Matthias Hopfner – the Ambassador of Germany in Bulgaria.

The project has two main accents – increase of the productivity and improvement of the ecological index in the works that should meet the future European requirements.

The total value of the investment is 44.2 millions €. 60% of the amount is provided for conservation of the environment with capital expenditure over 26 millions €. The program will be realized within the framework of the next 3 years.

The works near the city of Pirdop was acquired by Aurubis group in 1997. 780 people work there.
