There was no fire reported on the emergency landed airplane at Sofia Airport 18.10.2011

Boeing 747, a cargo airplane, with registration TFAAB, flying from Brussels to Riyadh and transporting easily evaporating substances, reported a signal for a fire in the cargo space while flying over the territory of Bulgaria and asked to make an emergency landing at Sofia Airport. The airplane landed normally. The airport authorities and the crew members made a check and did not ascertain any signs of a fire. The check is still underway.

Airports’ fire trucks are near the aircraft ready for action if necessary.
