The Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Ivaylo Moskovski approved all upcoming postal-philatelic editions, that will be released in 2012. The plan contains 48 marks, 16 illustrated cards and 18 envelopes.

MTITC is accepting suggestions for the issuance of postage stamps and postal products until May and June this year. Over 500 applications have been received and reviewed by a specialized expert.

Postage stamps and products are made to mark anniversaries associated with significant events in life and work of famous personalities and others. For this reason, annual thematic plan that is approved by the Minister, includes topics of particular importance for the country and the world.

The plan is divided into several sections: Bulgaria - our country (that includes History, Culture and Arts, Ecology, Sport, Fauna, Flora, Transport and Holidays), Bulgaria and Europe, Bulgaria and the world. In next year's theme there will be a historic editions: 200 years since the birth of Baba Tonka, 100th anniversary of the Military Academy "Rakovski ", 250 years from writing a "Slav-Bulgarian History".

In the Art section are planned stamps on the occasion of 100th anniversary of the writer Jana Yazova (1912-1974), 50th anniversary of the poet  Petya Dubarova (1962-1979), 125 years since the birth of the poet Dimcho Debelyanov.

Sporting events are focusing on the XXX Summer Olympic Games London, 27.07-12.08.2012.

In the "Europe and Bulgaria" special edition will be dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the Republic of Bulgaria Council of Europe.

One of the most unusual brands is about 100th anniversary of the ambitious project - the liner "Titanic".

In 2009, the plan included 55 thematic postage stamps; in 2010 - 48 stamps and in 2011 - 43 stamps, 5 illustrated cards and 18 special envelopes.
