Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications, Ivaylo Moskovski and the Minister of Water Resources of the Democratic Republic, Abdelmalek Sellal signed an agreement today for maritime commercial shipping between the two countries.

The document aims to promote cooperation in maritime transport between Bulgaria and Algeria. It regulates matters of mutual recognition of ships’ papers, sailors’ passports, permits to ashore, assistance in disaster and others. Agreement meets international standards and improves the economic and operating conditions of operation of ships, safety and security of shipping and marine environment protection.

Minister Abdelmalek Sellal is visiting Bulgaria for the implementation of the 19th  of the Joint Bulgarian-Algerian Committee for Economic, Scientific and Technological Cooperation (30 October - 3 November 2011, Sofia).
