Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications, Ivailo Moskovski will take an urgent trip to Kazakhstan on Wednesday, where he will meet with theMinister of Transport of the Russian Federation, Igor Levitin, to negotiate about the exhausted licenses for running freight to Russia

The meeting will be held in Astana, Kazakhstan, in the framework of the Eighth International Conference "TRANSEVRAZIYA 2011".

Minister Moskovski will negotiate additional quota of permits for Bulgarian carriers for the end of the year.

According to bilateral agreement between Bulgaria and Russia, the number of licenses for freight between the two countries is 10 thousand per year. For 2011, Bulgaria has negotiated an additional quota of 2 thousand permits, which were also exhausted.

According to an analysis of the Executive Agency "Automobile Administration" quota of 12 thousand permits for 2011 is insufficient and the country needs another 2 thousand by the end of the year, which requires urgent meeting between Minister Moskovski and his colleague - Igor Levitin.

By order of the Executive Director of the "Automobile Administration", Valentin Bozhkov a working group will analyze the distribution of single permits. The aim is to make all possible steps to ensure further contingent of permits.

Although the carriers was warned about the exhaustion of the quota of permits for Russia by letter dated October 18, 2011 and stated that these services can be performed with CEMT permits, many carriers still accept orders for goods and trigger TIR.

For 2012, Bulgaria has negotiated quota of 12 thousand permits for single freight. At the meeting, Minister Moskovski will insist on increasing the number of permits.
