Perspectives for development of transport infrastructure in South Eastern Europe ware presented today by Dimitar Savov - the director of "Transport policy" in the Ministry of Transport, Information Technology and Communications (MTITC), during the panel discussion "infrastructure" part of the Economic Forum for Southeast Europe, Southeast Europe i * Forum.

Much of the EU’s priority axes pass through our country. According to Dimitar Savov, new guidelines for the development of the Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T) are very important for improving transport infrastructure and services in Southeast Europe.

Directions of Trans-European transport network (TEN-T), affecting our territory, are covering road, rail, intermodal, air and water transport. Untill 2020 Bulgaria is ready to implement projects for 10 billion euros, which will contribute to the development of transport in Southeast Europe.

Dimitar Savov stressed the importance of the Bulgarian Danube transport strategy projects and activities within the "Cooperation on South transnational transport axis" (SEETAC).
