The Prime Minister, Boyko Borissov and the Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications, Ivaylo Moskovski gave start to the electronic exchange of documents between five state administrations. Ministry of Transport, Information Technology and Communications (MTITC), Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Economy, Energy and Tourism, Road Infrastructure Agency and BULATSA, send and receive documents electronically until today. These administrations use the same documentary system.

The electronic exchange of documents will save time, increase efficiency and reduce administration costs of departments, said Minister Moskovski during the demonstration. This is one of the first serious steps the field of e-Government, he added.

Minister Moskovski used as an example MTITC’s document system. Since its introduction in 2003 until now, it have processed more than 370 000 documents. From January to December 1, 2011 the system had received 48,366 of documents. After the launch of the electronic exchange with other administrations, only MTITC will save at least 300,000 per year for couriers.
