Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Ivaylo Moskovski welcomed the first Embraer 190, part of Bulgaria Air.
"The purpose of our government is to discover new destinations and to increase frequency of flights," said Minister Moskovski during the event.
Minister Moskovski announced that it is expected in the summer Sofia airport to offer new destinations, in February the airport reported 39% growth in business aviation passengers and 2% for passengers on international scheduled services. There is 14.3 % increasing in the processed cargo and mail in the same period last year,,Minister Moskovski said. The new aircraft will reinforce our competitiveness and will help Bulgaria Air to develop new markets in a more economically efficient manner, whilst maintaining the very highest levels of comfort and service for its passengers, the Minister added.
Bulgaria Air will operate nine Embraer 190 jets. Airplanes are E190 version Advanced Range (AR), with a nominal range of 2,400 miles (4448 km). Bulgaria Air’s new aircraft will be configured in a dual-class layout with 108 seats: eight Elite seats in the premium cabin and 100 Slimline seats in the economy cabin. |
