We are expecting Austrian investors to take part in the concession of Danube ports, said Minister Moskovski during the Vienna Economic Talks – Sofia 2012.

“We have good cooperation with the Austrian investors, and we hope they will be interested in the concessions of our ports” the minister said. We work with several Austrian Companies in some railway projects. Because of the high importance of Danube river for Austria we hope that will attract investments from this country " he added.

“Attracting foreign investments is a major priority of our government "said Minister Moskovski. "Our  goal is to have a modern and competitive transport sector. We work actively to acquire European funds, but if there aren’t provided funds for the development we need to find another way to finance. Such a mechanism is public-private partnership and concessions, in particular "he added.

“Concession is a good alternative for Bulgarian ports and airports, which guarantees long-term cooperation, while the state retains ownership. Bulgaria is using all the tools to introduce these objects in front of the big investors” he axplained.

According to his words, as an example of the result of the actions of our country, may be indicated the Qatar interest in Airport Balchik. "We have every reason to hope that it will lead to a long-term cooperation, and Balchik Airport will become from  national and regional importance" said Minister Moskovski.
