Minister Moskovski attended the opening of Lot 2 of Trakia motorway 01.07.2012

Minister Ivaylo Moskovski took part in the opening of Lot 2 of Trakia motorway between the southern towns of Stara Zagora and Nova Zagora. The section is part of Trakia Motorway - one of the most important transport links with the Bulgarian Black Sea Coast.

Construction of the new  road section started in June,2010 and it was opened ahead of schedule. The project is worth about 137,8 million BGN.

It is expected that Lot 3 of the motorway – between the southern towns of Nova Zagora and Yambol – will be set into operation until the end of the month.

Construction of Lot 4 Yambol-Karnobat is 60% ready. The project is worth 209,6 milion BGN, and its contruction started in 2009.

The official opening was attended also by Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borisov, President Rosen Plevneliev,  European Commissioner for Regional Policy, Johannes Hahn and ministers.
