The special operation was realised in the region of the Ilinden and Kulata border checkpoints. Only for two days authorities checked 250 freight vehicles and drew 45 statements for violations. 28 of the trucks were overloaded, as the heaviest shipment detected was of 6,700 kilos. 10 vehicles, on the other hand, had forewarned tyres. In three of the cases there were problems with the breaks. The total value of the fines imposed to the violators amounts to more than BGN 50,000. The action was held together with the Economic Police.
