The total revenues of port Burgas has increased with almost 30 % compared to the last year. The profit without the taxes is expected to be BGN 4,317 mln, in 2011 it was BGN 3,283 mln. Good results exceed financial plan for the year with more than 40%.

The Black Sea port processed a total amount of 2,194 million metric tons of cargo, which exceed the Business plan with 6%. This is the only port on the Black sea coast which has an increase of 60% of the container traffic compared to the same period last year. In 2012 containers reached 46 thousand TEU, compared to 29 thousand TEU for 2011.

There is also increased traditional harbor freight - grains, fertilizers, scrap metals, container, cement, nonferrous metals, as well as attracting new customers and cargo. This led to an increase in coal, coke, urea, etc. Last year, Burgas persist as a major Black Sea port to transit to the metallurgical complex in Russia and Ukraine.

During the period bulk cargoes went over 17% more than in the previous reporting year for west and east terminals and more than 22% over the Business Plan.

A positive trend was observed in the new year and this year have already been processed over 10 vessels with wheat, scrap metal, container and cement, and is currently being processed sixth ship with containers, wheat, metals and ammonium nitrate.
