Two ships collided off Kaliakra 07.03.2013

One of the ships was on its’ way from Istanbul to Constanta, and the second was on its way from Constanta to Samsun, when they collided off  nine miles south of Cape Kaliakra. Both ships were damaged and proceeded to Varna anchorage where they were to undergo more inspections.

No injuries, no spills reported. The Ministry of Transport, Information Technology and Communications launched an investigation into the cause of the collision and was in contact with the Maritime Rescue Center in this regard.
