“I hope that together we can find a way to recover the Bulgarian State Railways“, said Kristian Krastev, Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications, during the second meeting of the Public Council in Transport sector. In his view, railway transport is one of the main priorities of the Ministry. “We work hard towards triggering BDZ’s recovery”, he added.
Minister Krastev also pointed out that everyone who wants to participate in the railways concession procedure can officially claim their intentions at the Ministry. Before any intention for investment is claimed, the Ministry would not initiate any concession procedures as they require some obligatory costly pre-concession analysis.
All proposals and issues sent in related to combating the grey transport sector will be discussed at the following Council meeting. It will be held on 29 April at 10:30 a.m. at the Ministry of Transport, Information Technology and Communications. |
