Minister Krastev validated a post stamp for the 125th anniversary of the establishment of Bulgarian State Railways 14.05.2013

The caretaker Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Kristian Krastev validated a special post philatelic edition dedicated to the Bulgarian State Railways which celebrates their 125th anniversary this year. He appreciated the work of all the employees who, despite the difficult situation in the sector, show understanding for the efforts to rehabilitate the Bulgarian railway sector.

The anniversary edition comprises of a post stamp and a pictorial post envelope. The project artist is Valentin Shtinkov. The stamp circulation is 16 000 and the price – 1.40 BGN. The edition is among the series of stamps that have been popular among stamp-collectors in Bulgaria in the past few decades. The first stamp related to DBZ was issued in 1939 for the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the company. In recent years there have been stamps issued for the 100th and 120th anniversaries of BDZ.

Chavdar Trendafilov, Executive Director of Holding BDZ EAD, Milcho Lambrev, General Director of National Railway Infrastructure Company, Deyan Daneshki, Executive director of Bulgarian Posts EAD, and former directors of BDZ attended the event.
