The progress of the project for development and deployment of services in the field of railway transport was reported on a mid-term conference. “"Improving services for the citizens and the businesses in the Ministry of Transport, Information Technology and Communications through the development of the e-government in the field of spatial data and services” project, is implemented with the financial support of the Operational Programme "Administrative Capacity" co-financed by the European Union, through the European Social Fund, in accordance with Contract № K 10-31-2 of September 7th, 2010.
The goal of the activities is to provide modern services to the citizens, the business and the state administration structures in the field of spatial data through the development of innovative network services and deployment of integrated software applications in the Ministry of Transport, Information Technology and Communications.
The data for railways, platforms, tracks, stations, places of intersection between railways and roads, flyovers, level crossings will be available on the internet. The information can be used by administrations and some of it will be available to non-governmental organizations, businesses and citizens. Thus, in the planning and design of public and private investment projects, preliminary investigation of the proximity to the railway infrastructure, route traffic or other obstacles for the construction may be conducted. This saves time to the citizens and entrepreneurs, as well as the administration.
The mid-term project conference was attended by representatives of state and municipal governments, non-governmental and branch organizations. |
